FY 2026 Housing Preservation Grant Program (HPG)
WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program provides grants to qualified organizations to assist low- and very low-income homeowners in repairing and rehabilitating their homes in rural areas. Funds may be used for a range of housing preservation activities, including installing handicap accessibility features and repairing or replacing electrical wiring, foundations, roofs, insulation, heating systems, and water and waste disposal systems. WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible applicants include state and local governmental entities, nonprofit organizations, federally recognized Indian tribes, and consortia of eligible entities.

FY 2026-2027 Powering Affordable Reliable Technology (PART) Energy Program
WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program provides partially forgivable loans to eligible operating utilities for projects that generate electricity from hydro, geothermal, or biomass sources, or store electricity from eligible renewable sources. Click here for more information.
WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible applicants are operating utilities, including for-profit organizations, state or local governments, Indian Tribes, Alaska Native Corporations, nonprofit organizations, distribution electric cooperatives and generation and transmission electric cooperatives, and certificated electric utilities.
TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $410 million

FY 2026 Innovative Traffic Safety Enforcement (ITSE) Grant Program
WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to develop innovative traffic safety enforcement programs that demonstrate effectiveness by reducing the number of motor vehicle crashes due to one or more of the subject risky driving behaviors, and to ensure the traffic safety enforcement programs are repeatable and scalable for use by law enforcement throughout the United States. The focus areas for this project are speeding/aggressive driving, drug or alcohol-impaired driving, occupant protection and distracted driving. Click here for more information.
