Corporation for National and Community Service
FY 2027 AmeriCorps State and National Competitive Grants
WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to support projects that engage AmeriCorps volunteers in evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions to strengthen communities. AmeriCorps members are individuals who engage in community service through an approved national service position, for which participation may include a living allowance and other benefits. The focus areas of this program include capacity building, disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and veterans and military families. Eligible applicants are Indian tribes, institutions of higher education, local governments, school districts, nonprofit organizations, state service commissions, states and U.S. territories, and tribal organizations that are controlled, authorized, or chartered by federally recognized Indian tribes.

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to support projects that build career pathways, strengthen professional networks, and identify and share effective workforce education and training practices in the museum field. The primary audiences for this program are museums, museum service organizations and affiliated nonprofit organizations, and museum professionals. FY 2027 Inspire Grants for Small Museums
WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to build the capacity of small museums to provide museum services to their communities through supporting the development of experiential learning and discovery in small museums and the management and care of collections in small museums. This program is a special initiative of the Museums for America grant program designed to support small museums of all disciplines, including small rural or small remote institutions and small museums that have not previously received federal funding. The program supports projects that serve the learning needs of the public through libraries and archives; improve community prosperity through libraries and archives; provide broad access to and preservation of information and collections through libraries and archives; or provide services to affected communities in the event of an emergency or disaster.
