FY 2026 Water and Waste Disposal Predevelopment Planning Grants
- WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to support the provision of clean and reliable drinking water systems, sanitary sewage disposal, sanitary solid waste disposal, and stormwater drainage for households and businesses in eligible rural areas. Funding will help eligible low-income communities plan and develop applications for the funding agency's Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant Program.
- WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible applicants are most state and local government entities, nonprofit organizations, and federally recognized tribes.

Department of Housing and Urban Development
FY 2026 Thriving Communities Technical Assistance (TCTA)
- WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to support coordination and integration of transportation and housing in infrastructure planning and implementation by local government units. Technical assistance (TA) provided by this program will help local governments ensure housing needs are considered as part of their larger infrastructure investment plans, while also supporting development in disadvantaged communities.
- WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible applicants are units of general local government. Eligibility is limited to applicants that are receiving or will receive U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) funding, either directly or through a state pass-through.
- TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? Rather than providing monetary awards, this program provides technical assistance (TA) to help local government applicants as they address housing needs while deploying transportation funds.
- WHEN IS IT DUE? Rolling
