11 Special Districts awarded FY26 BUILD Grants from U.S. Department of Transportation

The U.S. Department of Transportation announced an investment of $1.73 billion into 127 projects in 52 states, territories and the District of Columbia to deliver critical roadway, transit, rail, maritime, and aviation infrastructure improvements. View the list of FY 2026 project selections.

Kentucky: Paducah-McCracken County Riverport Authority, Paducah McCracken County Riverport West
Louisiana: Livingston Parish Gravity District No. 1, Gray’s Creek Bridge and Corridor Widening Improvement Planning
Louisiana: Central Lousiana Regional Port, Central Louisiana Regional Port Comprehensive Multimodal Master Plan
Maine: Eastport Port Authority, Port of Eastport Infrastructure Rehabilitation and Modernization
New York: Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Ronkonkoma Branch Grade Crossing Elimination Study
North Carolina: Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority, Airport Roadway Improvements Program
Texas: Dallas Area Rapid Transit, Enabling Universal Accessibility at South Dallas Light Rail Stations
Texas: Port of Corpus Christi Authority, Inland Port – Rail Infrastructure Phase II
