Department of the Interior

FY 2026 American Battlefield Protection Program (ABPP): Battlefield Land Acquisition Grants (BLAG)

  • WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program assists state and local governments, Tribes, and nonprofit organizations with the preservation of eligible Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and Civil War battlefield lands through acquisition of fee-simple or less-than-fee (easement) interests.
  • WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State, county, city, or township governments; Native American tribal governments and tribal organizations; and nonprofits other than institutions of higher education.
  • TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $17.4 million
  • WHEN IS IT DUE? Rolling until December 30, 2026

Department of the Interior

FY 2025 National Fish Passage Program

  • WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to provide technical and financial assistance to partners to remove instream barriers and restore aquatic connectivity, improve community safety, and support local economies.
  • WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State, local, and special district governments; independent school districts; institutions of higher education; tribal governments and organizations; housing authorities; nonprofits, small businesses; for-profit organizations; and individuals
  • TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $10 million
  • WHEN IS IT DUE? December 31, 2025

Department of Justice

FY 2025 Restorative Practices Pilot Sites Program

  • WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program seeks to support, strengthen, enhance, and expand existing restorative practice programs that prevent or address domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking, in accordance with the “restorative practices” definition at 34 U.S.C. § 12514(a)(3).
  • WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Units of local government, tribal governments, tribal organizations, victim service providers, institutions of higher education, and private or public nonprofit organizations, including tribal nonprofit organizations and faith-based nonprofit organizations
  • TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $23 million
  • WHEN IS IT DUE? October 14, 2025 (Grants.gov); October 16, 2025 (JustGrants)
