FY 2026 Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant Program

  • WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program provides funding for clean and reliable drinking water systems, sanitary sewage disposal, sanitary solid waste disposal, and storm water drainage to households and businesses in eligible rural areas. This program assists qualified applicants who are not otherwise able to obtain commercial credit on reasonable terms.
  • WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible applicants include most state and local governmental entities; private nonprofits; and Federally-recognized tribes.
  • TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? Unspecified
  • WHEN IS IT DUE? Rolling

FY 2026 Emergency Community Water Assistance Grants (ECWAG)

  • WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to help rural communities prepare for or recover from an emergency that threatens the availability of safe, reliable drinking water. Eligible projects may take place in communities that have experienced a significant decline in quantity or quality of drinking water due to an emergency, or in which such decline is considered imminent. Funding is intended to maintain the standards prescribed by the Safe Drinking Water Act.
  • WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible applicants are local governments, state governments, federally recognized tribes, and non-profit organizations.  
  • TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? Unspecified
  • WHEN IS IT DUE? Rolling

Department of Homeland Security

FY 2026 Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) Grant Program

  • WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to strengthen the ability of state, local, tribal, and territorial agencies; first responders; and public safety entities to combat the threat posed by the unlawful and nefarious use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), also known as drones. This program is intended to ensure that the American people, communities, and institutions are safe from all threats, including acts of terrorism. 
  • WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible applicants are the State Administrative Agencies (SAAs) of the 11 U.S. host cities of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. SAAs may issue subawards to eligible local, tribal, and territorial government entities.
  • TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $3.325 million
  • WHEN IS IT DUE? December 5, 2025

Department of Homeland Security

FY 2026 FIFA World Cup Grant Program (FWCGP)

  • WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to support the safe execution of the 2026 FIFA World Cup across 11 U.S. host cities by supporting the implementation of necessary security measures and strengthening capabilities around this series of high-risk events. This program supports increases in training and readiness exercises, staff background checks, cybersecurity defense, as well as increased police and emergency response for FIFA venues, hotels, transportation hubs, and other critical infrastructure. 
  • WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible applicants are the State Administrative Agencies (SAAs) of the 11 U.S. host cities of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Host City Committee Task Force in each of the host cities will then make subawards to local units of government.
  • TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $625 million
  • WHEN IS IT DUE? December 5, 2025
