Department of Health and Human Services
- WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to provide temporary residential care to unaccompanied alien children by supporting group home, shelter, and transitional foster care (TFC) providers that specialize in high-quality care of children.
- WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State and local governments, educational institutions, Native American tribal governments, non-profit organizations, for-profit organizations, small businesses, and faith-based and community organizations
- TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $1.5 billion
- WHEN IS IT DUE? October 14, 2025; April 1, 2026; September 1, 2028
National Endowment for the Humanities
FY 2026 National Digital Newspaper Program
- WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to create a national digital resource of historically significant newspapers published between 1690 and 1963 from all 56 states and U.S. jurisdictions. Awardees will select newspapers—published in states or jurisdictions between 1690 and 1963—and over a period of two years and convert approximately 100,000 pages into digital files.
- WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Nonprofit organizations recognized as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3), accredited public or private institutions of higher education, state or local governments and their agencies, and federally recognized Native American Tribal governments
- TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $2.5 million
- WHEN IS IT DUE? January 15, 2026
